Hi everyone just wanted to stop by and post a sketch I was happy with. Just so you know I was happy with the buffalo in the upper left corner not the poor elephant but it felt wrong to cut him out so there he is.

Recently me and my family were reminiscing about my dog Zorro. He was such a feisty little thing but so sweet, so I did this watercolor sketch.

A picture I had done for my sister for the newest addition to the family! It came about with my newest character a turtle named Miff.

Prince Solitaire was once a bright young man, until the day he fell in love and had his heart ripped from its sanctuary within himself. From that moment on his heart became hollow.

Poster preliminary sketch

Basically a sketch for my digital painting poster project/contest. I'm pretty sure I am not going to win so I figure I can have fun with this one and go at my own pace. It's a girl in a pond catching fireflies with her mouth while a little froggie is watching. Sounds cute but can I execute it, I will find out. 15 min sketch done in Corel Painter (I am sorta loving that program).

Perceptions and Realities

Another proj. I am currently working on. So far this is just the sketch and the quick color comp, well as quick as I tried to make it. Basically it is my version of perception vs. reality. People gain their perceptions from what they hear around them, so therefore people base their realities on what they hear. Not too sure if that makes sense to you but when I was thinking it up it sounded perfectly plausible to me.

My digital painting for class. I can at least say this much I had my moments when I actually enjoyed working on it, so thats a good sign. I just hope this is the stepping stone toward better digital paintings, because I really, really want to get better.

Practicing my speed painting I decided to do my new character Abigail, I had used her in my children's book. I love her and I love ballet so what better to paint then abbey doing ballet. I would definitely love for some critiques so please do give some pointers if you'd like.

Pale- Mint

It's a Kitten! And her name is Mint. I swear I dreamed of this cat no lie anyway this is the piece I did for IF Pale not sure yet if I want this one to be the piece since this time around I have loads of time.

IF- Contained

Well it will be my first Illustration Friday piece. A kid contained in a library corner or something to that extent.

A Moment in Peace

Another sketchbook piece. I decided to try out something new which involved toning the paper with pastel. Joy! To my great amazement it was a complete success.

Murk

Happy New Year!!! My New character for the new year Murk!
He's a button sprite who loves collecting buttons. As you can see he has no arms, his creator forgot to put them on so he uses his mouth like a vacuum to suck things up, like his buttons for instance.
